About Me

Brooke Brantley-Gilbert earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wayne State University.  After many years working in the Child Welfare System in Michigan, Brooke earned a Master of Arts (MA)  in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.  She is a fully licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan and a Nationally Certified Counselor.  She is the founder of Aspire to Wellness Counseling.

Brooke believes that Counseling is a process built on a trusting and working relationship.   Brooke believes that individual and couples counseling provides a safe and confidential space to explore life’s challenges and transitions. Brooke is skilled in developing the therapeutic relationship authentically, compassionately, and without judgement.  Change comes from within, and Brooke is dedicated to respectfully supporting you on your journey in exploring your challenges and realizing your personal goals holistically.

Brooke is experienced in working with mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse and dependency concerns, parenting and relationship challenges, transitional life changes, grief and loss support, and anger management. 

Multicultural factors can influence how we respond.  Brooke is competent in cultural differences and is always prepared to provide individually formulated therapeutic interventions to best meet her client’s needs.  Brooke utilizes an integrative approach to therapy that highlights person-centered, motivational, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques, Cognitive Behavioral approaches, and strength-based modalities.
